Privacy policy

You can play without an account, and we collect as little as we can. This policy covers the website; the iPhone app has its own policy.
Without an account
Your settings, chosen prop and level progress are stored only in this browser. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browsing data deletes them. Until you sign in, your taps and scores aren't sent to us, and they are never sent to advertisers.
With an account
An account is optional for playing. Signing in keeps your records and unlocked level on any device.
- Your email address, so you can sign in with a one-time code. Accounts are run by Supabase.
- If you continue with Google or Apple, that service tells us your email address, and usually your name and profile picture. We use them only to sign you in and never see your password, posts or contacts. Apple can give us a private relay address instead of your real email.
- Your game records: your unlocked level and, for each finished round, the date, result, time, taps, composure left, prop and level. Rounds you played in this browser before signing in are added to your account.
The same email can sign in to our other ChowChow Labs sites, but each site keeps its own data. Deleting your account here removes your records on this site only.
Advertising
The banner space on the home screen is a placeholder and collects nothing.
You'll see a short list of Amazon.ca links after each finished round. As an Amazon Associate, ChowChow Labs earns from qualifying purchases. Nothing is sent to Amazon unless you open a link. If you do, Amazon can tell the visit came from us and handles your information under its own privacy notice.
Visit statistics
To see which pages help people, we count visits with our own statistics service, run on Cloudflare. It records the page address (never anything you type), the site that sent you, your approximate country and region, your browser and device type, time on the page and a few actions, such as starting or finishing a round. A random ID kept in this browser tells new and returning visits apart on this site only; it isn’t linked to your account or shared with our other sites. We never store your IP address. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or you’re in Quebec, no ID is kept. Records are deleted after 13 months. Turn off visit statistics on this site (turn them back on).
Sharing results
When you choose to share a result, your browser makes the image on your device. Nothing is posted unless you pick a destination; what happens next is governed by the app or service you choose.
Our apps list
The About screen downloads a public list of ChowChow Labs apps and websites from chowchowlabs.ca. This request contains no personal information.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we use them only to respond to you.
Children's privacy
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and records until you delete them on the Account page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
